Orientation for preschool
(Unfortunately I could not take a photo with Kiko in it there...)
This is a photo of older students(4 years old) singing....
As expected - the parents are young....especially the ones in Kiko's class - they are all in early 30's....?
And they are well dressed wearing one-piece dress, jackets and skirts....it is "Japan!"
The parents had a chance to introduce ourselves....
one goes, "I'm the mom of XXX, and he has an older brother who is 5 years old"
Another one says, " that is my son and he has an older sister - it's quite a gap....she is in second grade..."
So it seems shocked to them when I said, "My oldest is 15, and the second son is almost 13...."
For the parents with 2 years olds, they can't imagine their kids are going to be 15!
Or they were just thinking, "how old is she(me)...? Isn't she a grandma...?" I'm sure I am closer to grandma's age!
The kids in preschool are very cute - Kiko was a little overwhelmed at beginning but seemed ok later - I can't wait for her to start from next week!
っていうか、きっと私のことを「おばあちゃん」だと思われたんではないでしょうか。。。まあ、それにかなり近いですけど;
We received something from Uncle T...
Peter says, "It's for me, right?"
And Kiko says, "Shimajiro?!!" (subscription books and toys that arrive once a month)
English Potato chips with unusual flavors!
"Ranch Raccoon"!
"Pulled pork in a sticky BBQ sauce"
"Cheesy Bean on Toast" ('Bean on Toast" - you can't get more carb than this! I secretly liked it when I was in UK)
"Hot Dog with Tomato Ketchup"
and "sizzling Steak Fajita"
They are all 'interesting' naming...
It's like a contest...? You vote for the best flavor kind of....we have that going here too with "Lays"
The kids just 'swallowed' 3 out of 5 bags....which one they like best so far...? Peter liked 'Hot dog with ketcup' flavor, while Sam liked "Fajita"...
Kiko chose "Pulled Pork" probably because the package was in pink!
Thanks as always, Uncle T for the rare chips!! They won't last much longer!
